This automated remote controlled tiki torch, designed specifically for the Mauna Kea resort on the Big Island of Hawaii, has a flower pattern cut out of its stainless steel cylinder. It was the first tiki torch head style ever constructed in the Malama series some 20 years ago. If legend holds true, these tiki torches were commisioned following an accident with a guest of the Mauna Kea wherein a lady was burned by a Traditional Cone torch flame. Since then the resort has required all tiki torches be installed in the flame enclosed style of the Malama series. As seen in the picture above, if you require automation, an additional 4 inch stainless steel sleeve is added to the base of the automated tiki torch head to conceal the automation components. This fire feature has the ability to be turned on and off remotely, with its state of the art remote control electronic ignition system.
