In creating this tiki torch design, Leilehua was inspired by her work in crafting traditional lei from Laua`e, an introduced fern related to the endemic Pe`a. As seen in the picture of the automated tiki torch above, an additional 4 inch stainless steel sleeve is added to the base of the automated tiki torch head to conceal the automation components.  This fire feature has the ability to be turned on and off remotely, with its state of the art remote control electronic ignition system.

Natural Gas - Using the same standard low pressure (7" water column) that services other natural gas appliances, this automated tiki torch's 22,000 BTU/hour consumption produces a brilliant 12" -15" flame.  The bottom 1" female brass fitting hooks up to a standard 1" galvanized pipe (not included).  Because the flame burns within the cylinder, this automated tiki torch should be installed completely vertically.

Propane Gas - Using the same standard low pressure (11" water column) that services other natural gas appliances, this automated tiki torch's 15,000 BTU/hour consumption produces a brilliant 12" -15" flame.  The bottom 1" female brass fitting hooks up to a standard 1" galvanized pipe (not included).  Because the flame burns within the cylinder, this automated tiki torch should be installed completely vertically.
